You may select your PIN when you activate your new ATM or Debit Card, or change your PIN on an existing card by calling 800-322-3512.

If your Visa Debit Card is lost or stolen please call the Entegra Bank Telephone Service Center at 800-438-2265, Option 5 during business hours. If your card is stolen after hours, please report it immediately to 800-472-3272.

Here at Entegra Bank we believe strongly in protecting the safety and security of your banking accounts. We routinely monitor all electronic transactions presented against your account. If we notice something unusual occurring with your debit card activity, we may contact you to verify the validity of the transaction. What are chip cards

Chip cards are like the card you have today but include an embedded microchip. The chip contains information that is encrypted, making it extremely difficult for the card to be copied or counterfeited. Your chip card will also have the usual magnetic stripe on the back so you can continue using your card while merchants are transitioning to new terminals.

What are the benefits of chip technology?

The embedded microchip provides strong transaction security features, and other application capabilities, not possible with traditional magnetic stripe cards. A chip card is extremely difficult to counterfeit.

Why is my card being upgraded to a chip card?

Chip technology is already used in other countries and now coming to the U.S. Your chip card provides an extra level of security and is easier to use at international locations.

How is the chip card different from a magnetic stripe card?

A chip card looks just like a traditional card with an embedded chip in addition to the standard magnetic stripe on the back of the card. Rather than swiping your card when making a purchase, you will insert your card into a terminal to complete the transaction. Once your transaction has been completed, you will be prompted to remove your card from the terminal.

How does chip technology work?

The chip in the card communicates with the terminal to determine whether or not your card is authentic. Depending on the security preferences associated with your chip card as well as the terminal, you will be prompted to provide your signature or Personal Identification Number (PIN) to complete your transaction.

Are chip cards new?

Although chip cards are relatively new in the U.S., they have been used in other countries for many years. In some foreign countries, particularly in Europe, chip cards continue to be widely used and have been successful in reducing fraud.

Where can I use my chip card?

You can use your chip card everywhere you shop today. Insert your card into a chip-enabled terminal or swipe your card at merchant locations that have not yet switched to chip-enabled terminals. You can also continue to use your card as you did before - for on line transactions, mail order/telephone order transactions, pay at the pump fuel purchases, and at ATM machines.

When will I get my new card?

Starting in May, new customers will receive cards when they open an account. Current customers will receive new cards in the month their card expires. Example, if card expires in October 2017 then a new chip card will be sent in October 2016.

How do I use the new card?

The new cards are easy to use. At merchants with chip readers, simply insert the card into the reader and leave it there for the entire transaction. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the transaction.

Here’s how to keep fraud from spoiling your travel.

Before you leave on vacation be sure to leave us your cell phone number. If your card gets restricted, the anti-fraud department can contact you and check on transactions! When everything checks out, your card can be re-activated and work again immediately with little disruption to your vacation.

NOTE: It’s not enough to call and say, “My name is Joe and I’m going to Texas.” But what really helps is to call and say, “My name is Joe, I’m going to Texas and here’s my cell phone number.”

UChoose Rewards is a rewards program where you earn points for shopping by using your Entegra Bank Debit Card, then redeem points for items from a huge online rewards catalog.

How do I earn points?

Earn 1 point for every $4 spent when you use your PIN or earn 1 point for every $2 spent on signature or PIN-less purchases. Additional points are earned by logging into UChooseRewards.com and shop at the participating retailers listed on the site. Simply click on the Earn Points section to find retailers that offer additional points. Shop online or in-store and use your Entegra Bank Debit Card. When shopping in-store, select credit and sign for purchases.

What may I redeem with my points?

You can redeem points for literally thousands of options. It all depends on personal preferences. There are event tickets, electronics, apparel, airline tickets, restaurant coupons and even cash! Browse the redemption section to see all the exciting options available. UChoose Rewards will keep track of all the points earned and will help find just what you are looking for when ready to redeem. UChoose Rewards also has a Wish List that will help track when you have earned enough points to redeem for a specific item.

When can I redeem my points?

It can take up to 60 days for points to be credited to your account. You must accumulate 1,500 points before you can redeem points. “Available Points” will show up on the Point Details page to let you know how many points are available for redemption.

How much does it cost to participate?

There is no cost. Membership in UChoose Rewards is absolutely free for Entegra Bank Debit Card holders, so start shopping and earning today. Not an Entegra Bank Debit Card holder? Not a problem. With any of our personal checking accounts, you can get a free Entegra Bank Debit Card.

Can I share points with my family?

Yes, all cards within an account automatically earn points together. In addition, if you have multiple accounts with Entegra Bank, you can link them together to earn rewards faster. Just visit the Preferences page to link more accounts to your program.
